One key thing: any bank or loan statement must cover the full year — 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 (please check the start/end dates).
1 · Bookkeeping & bank
If you keep your own books (MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.): your data file or access — and a list of amounts owed to you and by you at 30 June
Full-year bank statements for any account not already in Xero (1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026)
Any new loan, hire purchase, chattel mortgage or lease — the agreement + repayment schedule
Invoices for equipment / vehicles / assets purchased
Any asset sold or traded in — date, amount and buyer
Bad debts written off during the year
2 · Trading & contractors
Stock on hand at 30 June (if you carry inventory)
Contractor payments for the year — names, ABNs and amounts (needed for the Taxable Payments Annual Report if you're in building/construction, cleaning, courier or similar)
Any government grants or disaster loans received
Any insurance payouts for the business or premises
3 · Wages & super
Payroll summary / STP figures for the year
Confirmation that employee super has been paid
PAYG withholding details
4 · Money in & out with owners
Any money you drew personally, or paid on the company's behalf (loans to/from directors & shareholders)
Any dividends paid during the year
5 · Other
Management / service fee invoices between your related entities
Motor vehicle logbook(s)
Fringe benefits — cars, entertainment, etc.
Anything one-off or unusual this year we should know about
